How to Use
- 1 Select calculation mode — Choose 'Count Days' to find business days between dates, 'Add Days' to find a future date, or 'Subtract Days' to find a past date.
- 2 Enter your dates — Select a start date (and end date for counting). Use the 'Today' button for quick entry. For add/subtract, enter the number of business days.
- 3 Choose holiday calendar — Select a country to automatically include their national holidays, or choose 'None' to only exclude weekends.
- 4 Configure weekends — By default, Saturday and Sunday are excluded. Check or uncheck days to customize your business week.
- 5 View results — See the breakdown of business days, calendar days, weekends excluded, and holidays excluded. Expand 'Day-by-Day Breakdown' for details.
Frequently Asked Questions
How are business days calculated?
Business days are calendar days minus weekends (Saturday/Sunday by default) and any holidays from the selected country's calendar. You can customize which days count as weekends.
Which holidays are included?
Each country includes their major national and bank holidays for 2024-2026. US includes federal holidays like New Year's, MLK Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Can I add custom holidays?
Currently, you can select from preset country calendars. For custom dates, manually account for them or select 'None' and count only weekends.
What is the 'Export to Calendar' feature?
When you add or subtract days to get a result date, you can export it as an ICS file that opens in most calendar apps (Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar).
