Frequently Asked Questions
How does the color extraction work?
The tool analyzes your image pixel by pixel to identify the most frequently occurring colors. It uses a color quantization algorithm to group similar colors together and returns the 5-10 most dominant colors. All processing happens in your browser using the Canvas API - your image is never uploaded to any server.
What image formats are supported?
You can upload JPG, PNG, WebP, and GIF images up to 5MB in size. For best results, use high-quality images with clear, distinct colors. Very large images may take a few seconds to process.
Why are some colors missing from the extracted palette?
The tool extracts only the most dominant (frequently occurring) colors in your image. Subtle colors or colors that appear in small areas may not be included. If you need a specific color, try cropping your image to focus on that area, or use the Color Picker tool to select colors manually.
