How are days calculated?
Days are calculated by finding the exact number of calendar days between today and your target date. The calculation accounts for leap years and varying month lengths. "Days until" counts forward to future dates, while "Days since" counts backward from past dates.
What are business days vs weekend days?
Business days are weekdays (Monday through Friday), while weekend days are Saturdays and Sundays. This breakdown is useful for work-related events, project deadlines, or understanding how many actual working days remain until an event.
How do I save countdowns?
Click the "Save Countdown" button after entering your event details. Your countdown will be saved locally in your browser and appear in the "Saved Countdowns" section. You can save up to 10 countdowns and load them anytime to see updated calculations.
How does "Add to Calendar" work?
Clicking "Add to Calendar" downloads an ICS file that can be imported into most calendar applications (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, etc.). The file includes your event name and date, making it easy to set reminders.
What are milestone messages?
When your countdown reaches certain special numbers (like 100 days, 365 days, or 1000 days), you'll see a milestone message celebrating this achievement. These messages make your countdowns more exciting and shareable.
Is my data private?
Yes! All calculations happen directly in your browser. Saved countdowns are stored only in your browser's local storage and are never sent to any server. Your event names, dates, and personal information remain completely private.
