Frequently Asked Questions
What if I need more than 100%?
If the required score is over 100%, your target grade isn't achievable. The calculator shows the maximum possible grade you can get with a perfect final exam score.
How is weighted grade calculated?
Each category (homework, quizzes, exams) has a weight percentage. Your score in each category is multiplied by its weight, then summed. Formula: Final Grade = Σ(Category Score × Category Weight).
What does 'Already Achieved' mean?
If you see 'Already Achieved', you've already secured your target grade! Even with a 0% on the final, you'd still meet or exceed your goal.
Why are my category weights important?
Category weights determine how much each component affects your final grade. A 40% final exam weight means it counts nearly half of your grade - much more impact than a 20% weight.
