Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between DEG, RAD, and GRAD?
These are angle units: DEG (degrees) has 360° in a circle, RAD (radians) has 2π radians in a circle, and GRAD (gradians) has 400 grads in a circle. Most everyday calculations use degrees.
How do I calculate inverse trig functions?
Click the '2nd' button to toggle inverse mode, then click sin (shows sin⁻¹), cos (shows cos⁻¹), or tan (shows tan⁻¹). These give you the angle when you know the ratio.
What's the difference between log and ln?
log is the base-10 logarithm (common logarithm), while ln is the natural logarithm (base e ≈ 2.718). Use log for decimal calculations and ln for calculus and scientific work.
Can I use keyboard shortcuts?
Yes! Use number keys (0-9), operators (+, -, *, /), Enter or = to calculate, Backspace to delete, and Escape to clear. Parentheses ( ) work too.
