Frequently Asked Questions

What image size should I use for Open Graph?

The recommended size is 1200×630 pixels with a 1.91:1 aspect ratio. This works well across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Discord. Use images larger than 600×315 pixels minimum for best results.

What's the difference between summary and summary_large_image Twitter Cards?

The 'summary' card shows a small square image (150×150px minimum) next to the title and description. 'summary_large_image' displays a large rectangular image (at least 300×157px) above the text, making it more visually prominent.

Why doesn't my image preview show up?

The image URL must be absolute (starting with https://), publicly accessible, and not blocked by robots.txt. Some platforms cache images, so changes may take time to appear. Make sure your image is at least 200×200 pixels.

Do I need to validate my Twitter Cards?

Twitter no longer requires card validation since 2022. Once you add the meta tags to your site, Twitter will automatically display your cards. Use this preview tool to verify they look correct before publishing.
