Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Pomodoro Technique?

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo. It uses a timer to break work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes of focused work followed by 5-minute breaks. After four pomodoros, you take a longer 15-30 minute break.

How do streaks work?

A streak counts consecutive days where you meet your daily goal. If you complete at least your goal number of pomodoros (default: 4) each day, your streak continues. Missing a day resets your current streak to zero, but your longest streak is always saved.

What does the heatmap show?

The activity heatmap displays your focus time over the past year in a GitHub-style grid. Each cell represents one day, with darker colors indicating more focus time. This helps you visualize your productivity patterns and identify trends.

Can I export my data?

Yes! Click the "Export CSV" button in the Analytics view to download all your session data. The CSV includes date, tag, duration, completion status, and hour for each session. You can open this in Excel or Google Sheets for further analysis.
