Frequently Asked Questions
How random is the shuffling?
We use the Fisher-Yates shuffle algorithm with crypto.getRandomValues() for cryptographically secure randomness. This is the same level of randomness used for security applications.
Can I pick multiple winners?
Yes! In Pick Random mode, select how many items to pick (1-10). Enable 'Remove after picking' if you want to pick from a shrinking pool.
How does the group distribution work?
Items are distributed as evenly as possible. If you have 10 items and 3 groups, you'll get groups of 4, 3, and 3. The larger groups come first.
What is a tournament bracket BYE?
A BYE means a participant automatically advances because there's no opponent. This happens when the number of participants isn't a power of 2 (2, 4, 8, 16, etc.).
